How to report phishing and malicious content
Introduction
we block thousands of phishing and malicious emails attachments; however, these threats are continually evolving and sadly some slip through our defences. If you do receive a phishing message, it's important you report it to us so we can protect you and the Eastern Education Group from the threat it poses.

If you suspect your account or device has been compromised, please report it to the IT Helpdesk as soon as possible so we can take action to secure your device or account.
Reporting Phishing
You can report your message directly in the Microsoft Outlook app easily and securely.
Outlook for Desktop
With the message open click Report Message from the ribbon and choose Junk or Phishing.
Outlook for Web
With the message open click Report, then choose Report phishing or Report junk.
Outlook for Mobile
Select the email you'd like to report, press more options (three dots in the top right) choose Report junk then choose Junk or Phishing.
Reporting a Malicious or inappropriate Microsoft Teams message
if you receive a Teams message that looks suspicious or has inappropriate content you can report that message to our security team for review.
1. Go to the message and select More options > More actions > Report this message.
2. Go to Select a problem, choose the option that best describes the message you want to report (Security risk or Inappropriate) then select Report.

3. You'll receive a popup message confirming that your report was sent.
Report a Malicious or Phishing site
Send a copy of the URL and how you got to the site (email, search engine, social media, etc) to the IT helpdesk and we can investigate and get the URL blocked if necessary.
Reporting a text message (SMS)
Suspicious messages should be forwarded to 7726. This free-of-charge short code reports the message to the mobile operator to investigate the message and act, if found to be malicious.
