Connecting to eduroam on Chrome OS Devices at West Suffolk College
Step 1: Open the Wi-Fi menu in the bottom right corner of the screen on your Chrome OS
Step 2: Choose ‘eduroam’ from the list of nearby Wi-Fi networks that appears.
Step 3: A new window will appear prompting you for your Username and Password, and some other settings.
Choose ‘PEAP’ as the EAP method, ‘MSCHAPv2’ for EAP Phase 2 authentication, and ‘Do not check’ under Server CA certificate.
Enter your full West Suffolk College email address in the ‘Identity’ box, and your password in the ‘Password' box.
The email address and password are the same as the ones you use for all other West Suffolk College systems and computers.
Then click ‘Connect’.
Step 4: You should now be connected.
You can verify this by clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and verifying that the message ‘Connected to eduroam’ is displayed.
If you encounter issues connecting to eduroam, please first double-check you are entering your full college email address ending in wsc.ac.uk, and that you have typed your password correctly.
If you are a West Suffolk College staff member or student, please visit the college’s IT Services department for further support.
If you are a roaming user or a visitor from a different eduroam institution, their IT department will be your first point of contact.
